Job Description

My fast-growing and expanding client are the UK market leader within the vitamins and supplements sector. They are looking to recruit a Head of Procurement, based in the East Midlands.Client DetailsMy fast-growing and expanding client are the UK market leader within the vitamins and supplements sector, based in the Leicestershire area. They have recently invested heavily into the business, including new manufacturing facilities.Description

  • Negotiate all significant spend within the business to ensure is always getting the absolute best value for money. This will include Ingredients, Packaging and Indirects
  • Source new suppliers where appropriate, to drive effective NPD activity
  • To maintain our quality standards and ensure we are always getting the desired quality or better
  • Build effective working relationships with key stakeholders across all areas and gain buy in to the procurement strategy
KPIs
  • P&L savings, savings to budget and cost avoidance, MPV reporting
  • Spend under influence for assigned categories as % by sub category
  • Supplier scorecard data generation tracker kept up to date
  • Action trackers maintained for self and key suppliers
  • Calendars adhered to for sourcing activity, projects and supplier management meetings
ProfileThe successful candidate for this Head of Procurement role will have experience of leading highly-successful and effective teams, within an FMCG manufacturing environment e.g., food, drink, packaging, personal care / health care etc.My highly-successful, fast-growing client are looking for someone who can support them in adding processes and driving strategy (as opposed to operating reactively!), as well as wanting to make a real difference within the business.CIPS qualification advantageous.Job OfferThe successful candidate for this Head of Procurement role, will be offered an attractive salary and package - dependent on experience and profile.My client offer a hybrid working policy - alternate 2/3 days per week on-site at their East Midlands based HO and manufacturing facility.
