Job Description

I am currently recruiting for a Permanent Estates Surveyor for a client side organisation in Derbyshire.Click on the link for a short video with me talking about the client and the role in more detail: Get in contact for more information.Client DetailsMy client is a public sector organisation in the Derbyshire area. They have a varied commercial estate.DescriptionThe Estates Surveyor would be responsible for the provision of estate management and valuation services. In this varied role you will be responsible for day-to-day estate management of the Councils property including lettings, lease renewals, rent reviews, acquisitions, disposals and repairs, including EPC compliance. You will also support other activities in both Asset Management and Facilities Management.ProfileThe estates surveyor would ideally be comfortable with and be able to do the following:Practical experience in an estate management post covering a range of issues including property valuations, negotiations, diposals, acquisitions, new lettings, rent reviews, repair maintenance, land sales and other property matters.Knowledge of property matters including advanced valuation principles, property law and other relevant legislation such as health and safety issues affecting property.Financial management skills in dealing with rent income, service charges and valuations.Desirable but not essential would be:

  • MRICS Status
  • Experience of working within local government
  • Experience of creating and maintain a property database
