IVD Scientist Location: Deeside Industrial Estate Salary: £22,000 - £30,000 depending on experience (various bands available)Type: Permanent Hours: Days Monday - Friday RTG is working exclusively with a rapidly expanding Medical Devices company is expanding and looking to recruit for a Laboratory Scientist to work at their new state of the art site. The successful candidate will be given further development and progressing- working to ISO 13485 standards.The Role:• Acceptance of raw materials and ensuring that they meet Goods Inward• Specifications.• Receive and handle client samples into the laboratory.• Operation of laboratory equipment: assisting in formulation dispense, and/or• setting up of PCR and ABI capillary sequencer using appropriate controls• and PCR amplified products.• Set down and pull materials in the stability storage suite.• Accurately and completely use information management systems (where• used) to record activity.• Completion and maintenance of laboratory records to the GDP standard.• Assist in data analysis and report writing.• Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and good organisation of the entire• laboratory suite.• Packing completed kits, stability The Person:• Will hold a Degree in a Biology/Microbiology based discipline. • 2 years + experience working in a similar role • For the higher banding, applicants must have demonstrated experience in IVD assay design or other regulatory lyophilization. • Strong interpersonal skills, and a key eye for quality related issues/ QC based checking. • PCR experience • Will have worked to IVDR and or ISO 13485 QMS• Excellent report writing skills and fluent in English.
