Job Description

Job title: Health and Safety and Compliance OfficerLocation: DeesidePay: £30,000 - £40,000 DOEReporting to: Transport ManagerHours: Monday - Friday (9:00-17:00)Start Date: ASAPAbout the companyIntegra People are proud to be working with a leading logistics company based in the North West. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a health and safety officer to join a family run company. Due to continuous growth my client is looking for an enthusiastic experienced officer than can improve company processes and implement new procedures. With being operational for over 60 years this is a great chance to be a part of this company’s success.Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain ongoing relationships with enforcement agencies
  • Ensure all relevant health, safety and environmental legislation is compliant
  • Ensuring the maintenance of all electronic records on the computer server, as well as the maintenance of filling systems on the licensed site for hard copy records.
  • Problems solve and improve the current health, safety and environmental procedures to best practice.
  • Source and purchase all appropriate PPE equipment and clothing.
  • Manage all employee inductions
  • Ensure all employees are trained and adhere to the health and safety procedures.
  • Manage all aspects of external training for the driver workforce.
    • Candidate Requirements
  • Logistics industry background preferred
  • Health and Safety qualifications or 3 years relevant experience
  • Relevant safety, Health and environmental business administration certificate
  • IOSH and/or NEBOSH
  • Full UK driving license is required
