Job Description

SHIFT ENGINEER/TECHNICIANDavidstow, CornwallFull Time Permanent/3 on 3 off Rotating Shift PatternYOU’LL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY…

  • Responding reactively to any site issues (internal and external) such as to preserve H&S, Environment, Quality, Cost, and Quantity.
  • Delivering proactive work in such forms of PM’s, PPM’s, fault log work, site action log work, and standing orders (not exhaustive) to deliver the same as above. Ensure day-to-day production plans are met.
  • Ensuring day-to-day production plans are met.
  • Assisting maintenance engineers with maintenance work.
  • Being involved with appropriate training to improve skills and help to ensure all plant needs are met.
  • Looking for and implement cost effective solutions to running plant using MIP process.
    • YOU’RE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU ARE…
  • Computer literate, be able to operate PLC services equipment.
  • Trained to electrical engineer standards, at least NVQ level 3.
  • Able to demonstrate practical engineering skills and enjoy a hands on approach.
  • Understanding of current relevant legislation.
  • A proactive worker and willing to take the initiative.
  • Have the ability to work under pressure, multi task and self-accountable.
  • Understanding of site plant and processes
