We currently have an opportunity for a Driver (Fallen Stock Collector/7.5 Tonne) to work at our well established Camelford site in Cornwall. This is a full-time position, working between 40-48 hours per week, in line with UK Domestic Rules. In return, as our Driver, you will receive a competitive salary and benefits (overtime rate will be paid for hours above 48 per week).Originally founded as Prosper De Mulder Limited in 1926; SARIA’s UK operations have a market-leading presence in a wide range of sectors associated with the food chain. The company has a UK annual turnover approaching £250 million and employs around 1,000 people at 23 sites across the country.As a Driver (Fallen Stock Collector/7.5 Tonne) your duties and responsibilities will include:- Operating vehicle equipment- Dispatching (kill) farm animals at customer premises- Using firearms (if correct certificates/licences are held) to dispatch farm animals- Completing work documentation in line with Company standards (Driver Records + Collection Records)- Maintaining good standards of housekeeping in the vehicle- Undertaking daily vehicle checks- Using an electronic PDA in accordance with internal system requirementsAs a Driver (Fallen Stock Collector/7.5 Tonne) you should have:- A full Driving licence – LGV C1 essential (7.5 tonne)- A slaughter licence or certificate of competence in slaughter (DEFRA approved) would be desirable, although training can be provided (to hold a WATOK License would be desirable)- Relevant firearm certificates- Previous experience of working in an agricultural or fallen stock background- Be smart in appearance (uniform is provided) and have a pleasant manner- Knowledge of vehicle operations- The ability to demonstrate understanding of Driver Hours Rules (EU & UK Domestic)- Completed driver CPCIf you would like to join us as our Driver (Fallen Stock Collector/7.5 Tonne) then apply now.
