We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a 7.5 Tonne Driver/Fallen Stock Collector Driver to join us at our well-established and busy Fallen Stock site based in Cornwall. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis, working between 40-48 hours per week, in line with UK Domestic Rules. Overtime rate will be paid for hours above 48 per week. The company has a UK annual turnover approaching £250 million and employs around 1,000 people at 23 sites across the country.As a 7.5 Tonne Driver/Fallen Stock Collector Driver your duties and responsibilities will include:- Operating vehicle equipment- Dispatching (kill) farm animals at customer premises- Using firearms (if correct certificates/licences are held) to dispatch farm animals- Completing work documentation in line with Company standards (Driver Records + Collection Records)- Maintaining good standards of housekeeping in the vehicle- Undertaking daily vehicle checks- Using an electronic PDA in accordance with internal system requirementsAs a 7.5 Tonne Driver/Fallen Stock Collector Driver you should:- Hold a full Driving licence – LGV C1 essential (7.5 tonne)- Have a slaughter licence or certificate of competence in slaughter (DEFRA approved), although training can be provided (to hold a WATOK License would be desirable)- Hold relevant firearm certificates- Have previous experience of working in an agricultural or fallen stock background- Be smart in appearance (uniform is provided) and have a pleasant manner- Have knowledge of vehicle operations- Have the ability to demonstrate understanding of Driver Hours Rules (EU & UK Domestic)- Driver CPC completeIf you would like to join us as our 7.5 Tonne Driver/Fallen Stock Collector Driver, then apply now.
