My client a well established engineering company based in Darwen is looking for a Metal Grinder (drilling and cutting down metal). The working hours are days Monday-Friday.Responsibilities:- Operate and maintain grinding machines to grind surfaces of metal objects- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine grinding requirements- Set up and adjust grinding machines according to specifications- Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to specifications- Use hand tools and measuring instruments to perform precision grinding operations- Monitor machine operations to ensure smooth production flow- Perform routine maintenance on grinding machinesExperience:- Previous experience in operating grinding machines is preferred- Knowledge of basic mathematics for measurements and calculations- Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes- Proficiency in using hand tools and measuring instruments- Ability to weld, assemble, and fabricate metal components- Mechanical knowledge of machine operations and toolingSkills:- Strong attention to detail and precision in work- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team- Good problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues with grinding machines- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy objects as requiredJob Type: Full-timeSalary: From £11.00 per hourBenefits:
