This School provides support for boys aged 10-19 with a variety of social, emotional and mental health challenges. The learning environment and facilities here allow students to access a varied curriculum in a calm and nurturing environment and the team strives to give every student the confidence and opportunities to achieve their full potential.Whilst previous experience of working in an SEN/SEMH environment would be desirable, excellent teaching skills and the right motivation, personal qualities and levels of resilience are just as important.The main purpose of the role:As part of the senior leadership team, you will get the opportunity to have ownership over a creative, dynamic, innovative, and engaging remit. You will take a proactive approach to ensuring effective positive behaviour strategies and attendance strategies are in place for pupils in order for them to thrive. You will support the senior leadership team in ensuring delivery of the national curriculum is to the highest standards and in a way that maximises children’s achievement and ability to develop.The school is looking for a leader that understands the importance of positive behaviour strategies and trauma informed practice and has a clear vision on how to develop this across the school.
