Job Description

* Interior Designer* Devon* £26,000-£32,000We are currently recruiting for an Interior Designer to join a multi-disciplinary practice based in their Devon offices.This offers an exciting opportunity to join a RIBA practice, led by a team of 18 Architects for a company that predominantly focuses on luxury, high-end, residential projects. In addition, the practice manages house extensions, new builds, and small-scale developmentsof up to 20 houses in the South Devon region. With the option to work in either one of their Dartmouth or Salcombe offices, there is plenty of flexibility offered in regard to working arrangements. The practice has a keen eye on the future, ensuring they produce creative and high-quality designs throughoutthe South-West and are seeking to build upon a strong reputation they have built since its founding in 1976. They have recently set up an interior design team, so this role will involve working closely with the lead interior designer. The opportunity to grow and develop your career with a growing department within the business cannot be understated. With this in mind,successful applicants will be equipped with appropriate knowledge in software packages used by the company. It is important to be familiar with AutoCAD and SketchUp as these tools will be used frequently. As a member of the RIBA Continuing Professional Development scheme, career progression is a priority for the business, running monthly CPD seminars, informing employees of local RIBA building visits and exhibitions, and encouraging attendance to external buildingevents and seminars. With this breadth of opportunity to build your knowledge, on top of the practical experience you will gain in office, this is a fantastic chance to build your skillset as an Interior Designer. Candidates will be given a variety of roles and responsibilities, ensuring no two days are the same. There is a consistent pipeline of work for the next 6-9 months offering an abundance of experience in the Interior Design landscape. An eye for design is keywith production of concept designs, sketching and 3D modelling being standard duties in this role. There will also be frequent liaising with contractors and site meetings, so its important for candidates to have good communication and problem-solving skills. The salary for this position ranges from £26,000-£32,000 depending on previous experience, as well as numerous additional working bonuses.
