Job Description

HR and Charity Administration AssistantDartington, Totnes, DevonFull time - 37.5 hours per week£19,426.45 - £21,712.08 per annumAre you an experienced administrator or HR professional looking for an exciting new role Want to work for an innovative charity where no two days are the same With 20 years of success, our client provides a wide range of programmes and services to support children and young adults with learning disabilities. Based on the beautiful Dartington Hall Estate, near Totnes, as the HR and Charity Administration Assistant, you will split your time between supporting the HR Team and assisting the CEO and Senior Leadership Team with administrative duties. In this dual role, you’ll need excellent organisational skills, as well as the ability to manage conflicting priorities. You’ll be a positive, friendly and enthusiastic person with a can do’ attitude and a keen eye for detail. Some of your HR duties will include: - Providing a seamless recruitment process- Processing DBS applications and maintaining records- Creating and maintaining employee records on Sage People- Handling internal and external queries relating to the HR function - Setting up mandatory training, as well as planning and preparing for inductions - Managing and maintaining exemplary filing systems, adhering to GDPR standards The other side of your role will involve: - Organising management meetings and taking minutes- Providing diary support and general clerical duties to the CEO- Acting as the first point of contact for external queries about the charity - Ordering stationery and consumables as required Interested To join this passionate team, you’ll need:- Experience of working in a similar HR and/or administration role, ideally gained in a social care, education or health environmentIdeally, you will possess a Level 3 Diploma in Business Administration or a CIPD Level 3 qualification or relevant experience.Our client is a well-established charity that provides an excellent range of staff benefits including 28 days’ annual leave on starting, a company pension scheme and a staff discount scheme.As a Disability Confident Employer, our client is committed to encouraging applications from applicants who declare they have a disability, provided they meet the minimum job criteria as specified in the person specification, by offering a guaranteed interview.To apply for the role of HR and Charity Administration Assistant, please apply via the button shown.
