  • Initial contract duration of 6 months. Total duration is expected to be over 1 year.
  • PAYE: £31.85 p/h Umbrella: £41.69 p/h
  • Hours: Monday - Friday 37.5hrs.
  • Mostly remote working.

With offices all over the world this is a truly global business.The role:As a Product Design Engineering Product Specialist you will lead design and development for engineering assignments including products, parts, components, systems, or portions of major projects.This product focused position applies specialized knowledge of engineering principles and design practices to create optimized design concepts and mechanical design specifications considering application, cost, weight, performance, reliability, durability,manufacturing, assembly, and serviceability.This role effectively communicates the capability of a design concept to meet cross-functional requirements including assessment of alternative and competitive design concepts and works effectively across cross-functional disciplines to develop corporate andcustomer requirements including those required to resolve product issues..What is required:* Engine system or component development ownership* Recent experience with ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) engine component design and development* 3D CAD Modelling and design skills (CREO experience required)* Experience with Windchill PLM is preferred.* Independently work with all internal and external stakeholders (supplier, manufacturing etc.) to develop assigned system or component* Engine component or system analysis experience is a mustWe are looking for a driven team player looking to take on a new challenge in a fantastic company.
