Job Description

Location: Home-basedSalary: Up to £65,000 per annumContract: PermanentHours: 37.5 hours per weekWe have a fantastic opportunity in our growing Group IT team for an Application Architect. This role is home-based with no-line management requirements; you will be required to attend site in Darlington in an ad-hoc fashion for meetings with stakeholders,and occasional travel to other sites and suppliers. As an Application Architect you will be supporting the architecture function for Northgate and associated brands. You will be responsible for overseeing the development of Northgate’s ERP and ancillary systems,ensuring that new and existing developments are built to a high quality, with an emphasis on performance, security, and supportability.You will be liaising with in-house, off-shore and external development teams to provide guidance on approaches and best practice, as well as technical leadership where required on major projects. You will be identifying areas of improvement within existingapplications and designing new systems within the wider architectural goals of Group IT. Your day will consist of liaising with SMEs and Analysts to provide technical requirements, producing supporting technical designs and documentation, and mentoring developers.Throughout this you will be working with the support of the wider Application, Technology, Service and Solution Architects within Group IT.Our technology stack includes:

  • Expert experience working with Microsoft Dynamics Suites (AX, GP, CRM, 365)
  • Robust technical documentation skills, including UML modelling
  • With a wealth of experience in development, you are looking to further your career in a technical aspect and take on broader challenges
  • Self-motivated, excels at understanding systems and processes
  • Logical, detail-orientated eye and enthusiastic at bringing order and elegance to processes
