Job Description

Are you a site engineer who is up for your next freelance opportunity Contract Scotland are working with a reputable multi-disciplined Civil Engineering contractor who specialise in industrial services, civils and infrastructure projects. They are seekingan experienced Freelance Site Engineer for a project based in Dalry for a 6 months duration.You will work with their engineering team to deliver the projects on time and within budget whilst still maintaining the highest quality of service.Your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting Out for concrete works.
  • Checking plans, drawings, and quantities for accuracy of calculations.
  • Highlight any discrepancies with the drawings.
  • Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site.
  • Supporting the Site Manager, and any other site engineering duties as required.
  • Monitoring progress and performance and reporting to Site Manager.
  • Administration and recording keeping of Quality Assurance systems on site.
What you can expect:
  • Immediate start date for 6 months duration.
  • Monday to Friday 08.00 to 17.00.
  • Hourly rate of £28 to £30 DOE.
  • Payment methods – PAYE or CIS.
You must have the following:
  • Minimum of HNC level qualification or equivalent in civil engineering.
  • Flexible in your approach and able to work on your own initiative.
  • Previous setting out experience is essential.
  • Previous civil engineering experience in a contracting environment is essential.
  • Valid CSCS.
