Job Description

We’re looking for a leader; someone who will champion careers for our harder-to-reach communities and consistently challenge us to embrace a culture of inclusion. Is this youYou’ll have had some experience of implementing strategy to increase diversity and be able to articulate and communicate the case for culture change, leading a movement that embraces the widening access and inclusion agenda throughout the organisation.You will make sure that inclusion management and widening access frameworks are fit-for-purpose and effectively support the Health Board to meet our Workforce equality objectives, as well as our Welsh Specific duties and legal obligations. You will help us to ensure that our careers pathways including work experience and Vocational Training Programmes are accessible for all and support an equitable environment.We’ll be looking for you to propose, develop and lead on initiatives and interventions, across Apprenticeships, Talent Management, Career Pathways and Vocational Training Programmes, so you’ll need to bring ideas and creativity to the role.You’ll develop strong links with key internal and external stakeholders, liaising with staff networks, community voluntary groups, and other champions of equality, diversity and inclusion.You will manage teams so a proven track record of excellent people management is key.Above all, you will work as an integral part of our Learning and OD team, helping to deliver safe, compassionate and effective care that embraces our Health Board Values.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.For further details / informal visits contact:Kay MyattHead of Learning and ODkay.myatt@wales.nhs.ukTelephone number
