An opportunity has arisen to join our team of Cardiac Physiologists working across Swansea Bay University Health Board.We are looking to fill 3 training posts and would welcome applications from either newly qualified Cardiac Physiologists or Healthcare Science Practitioners and those in their final year of study. The post will be based at Morriston Hospital with rotation to Singleton Hospital.Morriston hospital is a tertiary centre that provides a wide range of invasive and non-invasive cardiac investigations. The centre is has recently expanded with the opening of a 3rd Catheter lab in addition to a pacing theatre. Singleton hospital is a secondary cardiology centre that carries out non-invasive diagnostics and paediatric cardiology.There is a 24hour PPCI service. Investigations include Ambulatory ECG and BP monitoring, Exercise Tolerance Testing , coronary angiography, PCI (encompassing complex PCI) , TAVI procedures , pacemaker/ICD implantation (to encompass complex device implant i.e. CRTD ) and follow up, Electrophysiology and ablation (including 3D mapping), echocardiography (to include complex imaging techniques i.e. stress echo, bubble studies, contrast echo).We are seeking motivated individuals to integrate into the team. Candidates should be enthusiastic and dedicated to provide excellent patient care, and follow the health board values.We are committed to providing learning and development opportunities to all of our staff. We actively encourage and support all appropriate professional development in advanced cardiac investigations to facilitate individuals to reach their full potential.Suitable candidates would hold a BSc. Clinical Physiology (Cardiology), STP Msc. Cardiac Science or PTP Bsc. Cardiac Science. Hold registration with RCCP or AHCS . We also welcome students within their final year of study for any of the above qualification to apply.Swansea Bay University Health board is ideally situated located just off the M4, within easy reach of many activities and attractions. There are a number of award winning beaches, the Brecon beacons and waterfall country that are all within easy reach.
