Job Description

Come and work in beautiful Swansea Bay, with fabulous coastline, outdoor pursuits, and mountain walking all within easy travelling distance.An opportunity has arisen for a static Band 6 in Critical care and Cardiothoracic services. The successful candidate will alternate yearly between Cardiothoracic, where they will work alongside 1.6 Band 7’s and rotational staff on the Cardiothoracic ICU, HDU and wards they will also take the lead in managing the Thoracic Pre-Hab service with guidance from a Band 7, and General ITU and the surgical wards.During the General ITU rotation they will be supported by Band 8b and 8a and 2 Band 7’s as well as rotational staff. This is an exciting time to join the expanding Respiratory service with the opportunity to develop clinical, management and research skills.We are lucky to have a very supportive MDT which has recently invested in the whole AHP establishment and a friendly welcoming team.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.For further details / informal visits contact:Karen Jameskaren.j.james@wales.nhs.uk
