These are 2-year, fixed term contracts, part funded by the European Social Fund through the Welsh Government. These posts provide a comprehensive education and training programme to enable registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council as a Pharmacy Technician.Opportunities are available at two of our sites; Morriston and Singleton hospitals. Each base offers a wide range of pharmacy services including cancer care, clinics and emergency services. We guarantee you will gain a wide range of enjoyable experiences to shape your development.Trainees undertake the distance learning BTEC National Certificate in Pharmacy Services from Buttercups Training, with some facilitated study days in South Wales.Assignments are completed in your own time and there are regular assessments. This qualification can be considered equivalent to ‘A’ level standard.You will participate in a rotational programme within the workplace, under the supervision of NVQ supervisors and compile an electronic portfolio of evidence to satisfy the NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Pharmacy Service Skills.
