This is a 1 year fixed term position due to Maternity Cover.IF YOU ARE A SBUHB EMPLOYEE YOU MUST OBTAIN PERMISSION FROM YOUR CURRENT LINE MANAGER PRIOR TO APPLYING FOR THIS POST.An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Medical and Dental Education Manager (Postgraduate) to support the delivery of the Health Board’s medical education programmes.The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the Postgraduate Team within Morriston Hospital and across sites. You will lead and support the team through key activities such as coordination and development of the Postgraduate Medical and Dental educational programmes as well as leading on key activities such as Trainee Doctors Induction, Careers Fairs, Best Trainee Awards and CPD trainer days.You will have responsibility for providing support to the Health Board Faculty Leads and will coordinate, facilitate and lead on local Faculty meetings. you will have budgetary responsibility as part of the role will authorise study leave expenses using a range of systems both local and national.This role is part of a Health Board wider team, which will give you the fantastic opportunity to participate in regular local Senior Postgraduate Medical Education Manager meetings and all Wales meetings facilitated by HEIW as well as being involved in other areas of Education Centre work including Undergraduate and Learning and Development work.The post holder would be part of a rota to cover the operational management of Morriston Education Centre.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to applyFor further details / informal visits contact:Donna Hole or Sade Bewsher GriffithsDonna.hole@wales.nhs.uk sade.bewsher-griffiths@wales.nhs.uk
