At the General Critical Care Unit (General ITU Unit) at Morriston Hospital an exciting opportunity has arisen for a combined post of Research and Critical care Senior Staff Nurse.The 28 bedded Critical Care provides care to level 2 and 3 patients across many specialties including Tertiary services such as Renal, Pancreatic, Thoracic, Urology and Vascular Services. It is also a centre of excellence for interventional cardiology. Supporting and developing staff in their workplace are essential to your success.The post offers a brilliant opportunity for a dynamic individual to support the Research agenda whilst continuing to develop their clinical practice and leadership skills in Critical Care.It is essential that you are a good communicator, have critical care nursing experience and the ability to challenge practice to ensure delivery of a safe and efficient service.This is a dual role encompassing both research and clinical roles. The post holder will contribute actively to the conduct, coordination and delivery of the Critical Care Research Portfolio, under the leadership of the Research Lead and the Matron for ITU.
