Job Description

Are you passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people Do you have experience in providing care and support in a residential setting If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you!We are looking for a Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker to join our team in Exeter. You will be working with children and young people who have complex needs, such as emotional and behavioural difficulties, learning disabilities, and mental healthissues. You will be responsible for ensuring their safety, well-being, and development, as well as helping them to achieve their full potential.As a Senior Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will:

  • Provide person-centred care and support to the children and young people, respecting their dignity, rights, and choices
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, cooking, cleaning, and shopping
  • Support the children and young people to access education, health, and leisure services, and to participate in activities and hobbies of their interest
  • Encourage the children and young people to develop positive relationships with their peers, families, and other professionals
  • Work as part of a team, following policies and procedures, and completing records and reports
To be considered for this role, you will need:
  • A 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Workforce or equivalent
  • At least 6 months of experience in a similar role or setting
  • A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to work shifts, including 2 in 4 weekends, and sleep-ins
  • A commitment to ongoing training and professional development
