Job Description

Marketing AssistantThe Company:Would you like to establish or further develop your marketing career working for one of Devons successful owner-managed businesses as part of their in house, full service marketing department As Marketing Assistant, you will be working closely with the whole department, supporting them in delivering multiple projects at any one time. Your role may involve proof reading, writing creative copy, email marketing, brief writing and social media content creation making up packs for trade shows. This is SUCH a varied role and such a great future ahead for the right individual. Job Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with and support the Marketing Team, Marketing Executives and Senior Marketing Executives to help to deliver a cohesive marketing and communications schedule. Be responsive and accommodating to a fast flow of varied work with quick turnaroundstimes.
  • Proofread and sense check marketing materials and communications, adding any content onto the website as provided by the Marketing Team.
  • Build landing pages as appropriate including setting up tracking and reporting on performance. Schedule Email campaigns in DotDigital (email platform), optimising the suite of tools available.
  • Assist with the social media presence and implement the agreed plan, responding to comments and questions relating to marketing in line with the companys guidelines.
  • Embrace the opportunity to manage internal communications, including working on the internal newsletter with the other marketing Assistant.
  • Undertake continuous analysis of the market trends and competitor activity to stay abreast of the competition.
Preferred Skills:
  • A strong grasp of written English with exceptional proof-reading skills.
  • Be digitally aware with an understanding of social media and email marketing and how these tools work as part of the marketing mix.
  • Be willing and able to creatively work across a number of projects including brief writing and social media content creation, as instructed by the seniors within the team.
  • Have a great telephone and email etiquette, great rapport building skills and communication skills when working with both internal and external contacts.
