Job Description

They apply these technologies in refrigerated transport, built environment and commercial vehicles. The open-plan office has a real collaborative feel to it, with everyone working together to achieve a greener, cleaner world.The Role:Were looking for an Electrical Systems Engineer with experience at a Senior/Lead level, who is ready for a new challenge. Your primary responsibility will be to lead the design activities of electrical system, including high and low voltage systems, mule prototypes and circuit boards. Youll be working alongside the Lead Control Systems Engineer. Day to day activity will include:- Developing control and electronic systems, subsystems and components- Planning and undertaking test and development cycles- Managing own and electrical team members activities and reporting progress- Liaise with the design, development, project management, prototype and production teams, and suppliers to ensure the designs meet requirements- Support R&D activities and the development of tools for continuous improvement of the electrical systems.What were looking for:- Solid understanding of whole system/product development life cycle- Experience with CAN bus system design, development and testing- Design, development, prototyping and testing of electrical distribution systems- Experience of Engineering Quality toolsets and processes - FMEA, Interface Analysis, Boundary Diagrams, etc.- Working knowledge of sensors, actuators and interfaces- Background in engine, vehicle, renewables or power generation systems, especially in electrical systems architecture design- Experience in control system modelling, analysis and design using MATLAB, Simulink, CAN tools (one of Peak CAN, CANalyzer, etc), programming and scripting languages, e.g. C/C++, Python etc.- Experience in MIL (Model-In-the-Loop) simulation testing and HIL (Hardware-In-the-Loop) test environmentsWere looking for a self-starter who is ready to get involved from the get-go.
