We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our highly successful Biology Department as a Technician.Your main focus will be on assisting in the smooth running of the Biology department. Preparing equipment for lessons, assisting with the day-to-day servicing of our laboratories/workshop, carrying out routine equipment maintenance and helping to design, develop and maintain specialist resources - all are aspects of a role that will give you invaluable classroom experience.To succeed, you will need 3 A Levels and 5+ GCSE A*-C, (English and Maths essential) or equivalent. A Science degree or similar post AL industry qualification is also preferred, while experience of working in a laboratory secondary science department would be useful. A technical appreciation of the laboratory setting as a workplace is a definite plus too, with basic PC skills such as email, Word and data entry, is also required. Comfortable interacting with colleagues to gather or provide information to complete tasks, you are also good at making decisions or judgments covering routine situations.
