Job Description

40 hours per week, 52 weeks per year • Required as soon as possibleNestled in a stunning 400-acre parkland campus in leafy Berkshire, Wellington College is one of Britains most historic and famous independent schools. We are a fully co-educational boarding school offering an excellent all-round education to over 1,000 pupils.An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and committed Apprentice Groundsperson who, under the direction of the experienced Head Groundsperson and the team, the apprentice will be responsible for the up-keep and maintenance of our many and varied sports pitches with a particular focus on the cricket grounds. They will also work closely with the sports department to ensure that all sports surfaces are prepared and set for each season.This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and hardworking individual with a passion for working outdoors in all weather. A willingness to listen and learn will be key to forging a successful career within this trade.
