Project EngineerCrowland / Market Deeping / PeterboroughWith recent orders won worth £10 million + this fast-growing business can offer a wide variety of work across their principal activities of: Project Management, Design, Manufacturing and Machinery Installation/Commission for customers within the Food & Drinksector.Much of the Machinery supplied and installed is designed and built in-house, and they deliver turnkey projects, often integrating their machinery and systems with existing third-party equipment on customer sites. Customers could be liquid food processors,dairies, breweries, soft drinks manufacturers etc.The business can offer flexible working 1 day per week and candidates should live in the East Midlands, close to the A1 corridor.The RoleThe Project Engineer will have responsibility for small projects and will support the Project Manager on large-scale turnkey projects. They will select suitable solutions from the companys existing equipment range, or work with the Design Team to createbespoke machinery solutions that fulfils the customers application and specific need.They will work closely with the Sales term on pre-proposal work, preparing CAD Layouts, Method Statements and Risk Assessments. They will discuss project timescales with customers, and provide price information to enable the tender of competitive quotes. Workingclosely with the Project Manager they will liaise with Suppliers regarding the sourcing of equipment, focusing on price, specification, availability and delivery schedules.The Project Engineer will focus on the on time delivery of machinery installation projects and this will include the coordination of contractor activities. With an ability to spot potential issues and pinch points early, the Project Engineer will maintainconstructive dialogue with all stakeholders at all times, including, the Customer, Suppliers, Contractors, Design team, Sales team and Project Managers.The PersonApplicants should be qualified to a minimum level of ONC/HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with previous Project Engineering experience, preferably within the Food & Beverage industry, or similar, such as Pharmaceutical, FMCG, Cosmetics,Aerosols, Packaging.Applicants should be able to read technical drawings, be an excellent problem solver and communicator and have the flexibility to work across different parts of the UK. This role may involve staying away from home for approximately one night per week. Ref3277Salary £30,000 - £40,000 pa depending on experience + Bonus Scheme + Pension
