Job DescriptionTeam Leader - (Multiple Openings) £12.57 per hourCross HandsFull time, PermanentManufacturing Site - FOOD FMCG*The successful applicant will need to be prepared to undertakerelevant training to allow operation of a forklift*Benefits:Immediate startFree car parkingWeekly payPermanent Full-Time workPPE (Personal protective equipment) providedShift * Shift A: Sunday 6am - 6pm, Monday 6am - 6.30pm, Tuesday - Thursday 3pm - 11pm* Shift B: Tuesday - Thursday 6am - 2pm, Friday 6am - 6.30pm, Saturday 6am - 6pmThe Role:Reporting directly to the Fresh Meats Intakes Manager the successful applicant will be responsible for managing small teams of staff within a dynamic department.Applicants should be comfortable with all aspects of work undertaken by the Fresh Meats Intakes Department and be prepared to gain an in-depth knowledge of Intakes issues. The successful applicant should also be competent in dealing with staff, other TeamLeaders and Departmental Managers. The need for prioritising and delegating work is essential. Duties will include liaising with production management to ensure orders are fulfilled against deadlines, stock control and the checking and despatching of customerorders.The Person:

  • Be able to illustrate a proven track record in a similar role, ideally from within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Have a clear understanding of food hygiene, food safety, HACCP, health and safety and quality systems.
  • Results driven and ability to improve performance within the department.
  • Strong people management skills with the ability to drive performance and develop the team
  • Possess excellent organisational skills with ability to plan workloads effectively to meet deadlines.
  • Be able to demonstrate Leadership skills, be confident and committed and able to accept responsibility.
  • Have strong communication skills, both verbal and written in English is essential in this role as is the ability to operate computers and computer software.
  • Be able to develop effective working relationships with all departments
