Job Description

Site Manager - Civils required for our client who work within Heavy Civils across the UK and are looking for someone in West Sussex t to assist with delivery of projects in the Crawley, Brighton, Chichester area. The Site Manager will beworking for a company that has been established for nearly 100 years, this company offers a comprehensive range of services, within the Civil Engineering industry, from conception through construction to project delivery.The successful Site Manager will take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operational success of a project from award through to end of maintenance period. It is important for this individual to display exceptional leadership skills explaining whatis required on Site and how this will take place. This person will be responsible for identifying why events have occurred on Site.Site Manager - Civils Position Overview

  • Plan upcoming work, procure subcontractors, and place orders for long lead in materials.
  • Chair weekly site meetings to ensure your site team, (Site Manager/Foreman, Site Engineer) understand what is to be done by when & what can be improved upon & learned from.
  • Update contract programme weekly with project planner, highlighting delays and potential claims to commercial team. Integrate subcontractor work.
  • Monitor and report on financial performance. Highlight commercial risks, and develop solutions to maximize profit.
  • Raise Early Warnings, and attend risk reduction meetings.
Site Manager - Civils Position Requirements
  • BSc/BEng in Civil Engineering or NVQ L5/6 in Construction Site Management
  • Full driving licence
  • CSCS card Manager/Academically Qual
  • Site Safety Plus - SMSTS certificate
  • Appointed Person
  • First Aid at Work
  • Project Management Civil Engineering & Construction
  • Located on the Isle of Wight
  • Happy to assist occasional Mainland projects
  • Managing project/site programme & progress
Site Manager - Civils Position Remuneration
  • Salary: circa £60k
  • 25 Days holiday + BH
