Job Description

CTS area leading Education ICT solutions provider. The cumulative expertiseof our long-established team spans more than seventy-five years’ worthof experience in providingconsultancy, infrastructure services, network development and upgrades, and managedsupport services to educational establishments throughout the UK.By providing over 700,000 hours of support to over 270,000 users per year, CTS is an established market leader in the technology support sector.CTShave nowlaunched their Easy4u Service – working with our partners from Belgium and the Netherlands in delivering laptops to schools across the UK - offering a personalised, full-serviceeducation laptop to their students, with a customised school-webshop, a self-service portal, and a full-service model in case of repairs.CTS are looking for an Easy4u Engineer to work on site at our Crawley based Service Centre. Together with your team you will diagnose andrepair laptops and help in other areas of the operations department when needed.Key TasksTechnical

  • Diagnose incoming laptops for defects and damageand log appropriately
  • Be able to install a windowsoperating system
  • Maintenance of equipment, specialist repairs/modifications upgrades, software/hardware enhancements within own capabilities
  • Diagnose a hardware problem vs Accidental Damage
  • Ability to provide“neat” fixing, including cleaning of devicesand making sure the device is sealed properly.Training will be provided
  • Able to check work appropriately and feel empowered to feedback as part of our quality assurance process
  • Provideabasiclevel of Technical Support to end users on a 1stLine if needed
Customer Service
  • Knowledge of dealing with individuals and resolving issues in a timely manner
  • Ability to communicate well in written English
  • Work with our Easy4u Service Platform and Helpdesk System to record items and ensure that Customers are informed of your progresswith their repair
  • A strive for quality, rather than quantity
Essential Requirements
  • Experience in the IT Field is desirable
  • An ability to demonstrateyour competence with repairing/buildinghardware
  • A can doattitude to providethe best service to our customers
  • A self starter– we are looking for suggestions on how to enhance our service.
  • Ability to work with quality and speed
