Job Description

ElectricianCovering Redhill, Crawley, Haywards Heath, Pulborough & Brighton with a Havant based depot£40,000 per annum + company van & other excellent benefitsHyde are one of the UK’s leading and award-winning providers of affordable housing in London, the South East of England and neighbouring areas. We are primarily a group of not-for-profit’ organisations (headed by Hyde Housing Association). Our main businessis to provide and manage good quality and safe accommodation, at prices people can afford to buy or rent on long tenancies.We’re now looking for a number of Electricians across the South East to undertake electrical repairs to residential properties.Your work will be varied - from changing light fittings, switches and sockets to remedial works, installation of smoke detectors, boiler re-wires, testing and inspections. You’ll also be responsible for day-to-day responsive repairs maintenance through tore-wires. You’ll act as liaison between residents and internal teams to ensure any property related issues are highlighted and resolved in a prompt and efficient manner.We’d like our Electricians to:

  • Have proven experience of working on residential properties.
  • Hold an 18th Edition qualification.
  • Hold City & Guilds Parts 1 and 2 in Electrical Installation.
  • Hold City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 in Electrotechnical Technology (2330).
  • Be able to work in accordance with NICEIC requirements.
  • Have experience of working in Social Housing (desirable).

As one of our Electricians, you’ll be expected to take part in an on-call rota which is 1 in every 6 weeks. You’ll be paid a £300 retainer as well as £57 per job you are called out to, regardless of completion.
