Job Description

My well-established client has an EASA Part 145 repair workshop near Gatwick Airport. They repair aircraft components such as heat detectors, power supplies, batteries...They are now seeking an additional Component Repair Technician to assist in the Repair Workshop, on a full-time permanent basis, Monday to Friday. Main responsibilities of the Component Repair Technician:

  • Reverse engineer and repair aircraft power supplies, heat detectors and batteries. Additional capabilities may be added in the future.
  • Act as Component Certifying Staff (CCS), ensuring each individual component has been repaired appropriately, and can be released with full EASA 145 return to service approval.
  • Bench test various components.
  • Document all findings and keep all records up to date on the system.
  • Ideal candidate profile:
  • Two years’ minimum experience working specifically in an electrical component maintenance area /workshop. Aviation experience would be ideal but not essential.
  • Happy to become a signatory for work completed.
  • Familiar with working strictly to policies and procedures.
  • Hold an up to date Human Factors certificate.
  • Hold an apprenticeship in a relevant discipline or be qualified by experience.
  • Demonstrate a working knowledge of the English language, both written & verbal, with the ability to read and understand technical manuals.
