Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Civils Supervisorto join a dynamic team in the Crawley area.Reporting to the Delivery manager you will have experience of supervising Civils activities, knowledge of installation of ducting, chambers, and street cabinets within the public highway.This position requires a high degree of self-motivation,organisation,and supervision skills.You will be Supervising field operatives (directlabourand subcontract) to ensure that all orders are delivered on time.Main Duties:

  • HA and Local Authority liaison
  • Client liaison
  • Emergency Call Out coverage.
  • HA Defectscompliance to legislative clearance timescales.
  • Survey for fluidity tasks.
  • Ensure compliance to all quality and safety standards via in-progress and retro audits.
  • In field coaching and identification of operative training and accreditation requirements.
  • Operative accreditation maintenance.
  • Stores and materials control.
  • Job pack engineering validation.
Experience & Skills:
  • Experience in the Telecoms or Utilities Sector.
  • NRSWACurrent qualification to Supervisorstandard.
  • Good people management skills.
  • Basic understanding of the contract terms and conditions applicable to their work.
  • Good understanding of legislation affecting activities in the highway.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with client Contract Management, Streetworks and planning representatives.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with HA and 3rd party stakeholder representatives.
  • Awareness and understanding of the client Installation Specifications.
  • Driving Licence (No more than 6 points).
