Our client is a specialist designer and manufacturer of products for the film, television and audiovisual markets. Established for over 30 years they provide remote camera systems around the world.They are looking to employ a cable and loom assembly technician to join their team.Tasks will incorporate:Reading and interpreting electrical wiring diagrams.Preparing wiring looms of our existing products.Point to point wiring, cable crimping, terminating connectors for power and data cables.Reporting errors in design documentation and improving work instruction.Identify potential improvements and feedback.Liaise with Mechanical and RnD teams for bespoke looms and cables.Record accurately the wiring that has taken place by marking up drawings or BOMs accordingly.Maintaining and reporting stock levels to Line Manager.Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.Clear practice of workplace H&S.The skills required for this role include:Experience in electronics.Soldering to a high standard.Previous experience in assembly of cables and wire looms.Understanding electrical wiring diagrams and BOM structures to identify components.GCSE Maths and English - C or aboveAny electronics qualifications would be advantageous.Good time management and organizational skills.Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment.Self-sufficient and adaptable.DUE TO LACK OF PUBLIC TRANSPORT SERVICES OWN TRANSPORT WILL BE REQUIREDHours are 9.00am - 6.00 pm Monday to Thursday and 9.30 - 4.00pm Friday with 1 hour lunch.24 days holiday plus Bank Holidays and private health.
