Cranleigh School are seeking a dynamic, personable, professional and experienced Retail Manager (Maternity Cover - 11 months) to take responsibility for the smooth running of the school shop and management of the day-to-day operations and financial elements.This will include dealing with customers, ensuring standards for quality and customer service, planning and implementing School fitting season over the summer months (June-September), stock management, running the online shop, developing supplier relationships,financial management of the shop and monitoring staff members to ensure appropriate practices are being followed.The successful candidate will have proven retail experience and sound business acumen. They must possess excellent communication skills, a passion for retail and customer service, be highly productive and have a strong attention to detail. A firm understandingof IT skills (especially Excel and Word) and a knowledge of an EPOS system is essential. Experience of retail within a school environment or a similar role would be highly desirable.This role is a full-time role, working throughout the year on an 11-month Fixed Term Contract. The hours are generally worked Monday to Friday but may involve one Saturday per term and will require flexibility in order to meet peak demand when required.We offer a supportive community environment and a range of benefits - please see our Recruitment pack for more details.
