Deputy House Manager Location :CranleighSalary: £24,870 - £27,294 per year Hours: 37 hours per week in a 4 week shift patternResidential Childcare£1000.00 Welcome BonusRole summaryWe are wishing to appoint a Deputy House Manager in one of our Residential Houses, who will need to be capable of deputising for their House Manager in the care of the students in their house and supervising the team of Care Workers, ensuring that care isprovided to the required standard. Applicants must be ready to move to the next level in their careers, holding (or be working towards and be very close to completing) a minimum qualification of Level 3 QCF Residential Childcare or ideally (or be preparedto work towards if not already obtained) QCF Level 5.You will support young people with complex learning disabilities, severe social communication and behavioural issues. Our care team supports our young people outside of school hours and also provides cover in the classroom enabling our education staff totake their breaks. You will support our students to develop their life skills including assisting with personal care, helping them choose and prepare meals, shopping, money handling and accompanying activities on and off site. You and your team will have theongoing support of a skilled and dedicated team of Managers. Comprehensive training and mentoring includes learning about safeguarding, autism and positive behaviour support for all our staff.You need empathy, enthusiasm, compassion, mental, physical and emotional resilience (essential in all our staff) and the drive to make a real difference. If recruited, you will be required to complete Team Teach positive behaviour support training and Safeguardingtraining as part of your induction before employment. You will need to be able to work 37 hours per week in a 4 week shift pattern including alternate weekends and undertake sleep in duties as required (and will be paid the appropriate rate for sleep-in shifts,currently £53.43).Benefits
