Job Description

We are looking for appropriately qualified and experienced Pipe / TIG Welders to weld tubes and tube fitments into assemblies to customer specifications, based in either Billingham or TeesAMP (Middlesbrough). This is a full-time, permanent role and in return, as our Welder, you will receive a competitive salary plus benefits.Paralloy Ltd is situated in the UK and has 3 sites - Billingham, Middlesbrough, and Sheffield. The business has a worldwide presence and is a major supplier to the petrochemical market. The success of the company has been built on developing quality productsin rapid lead times supported by a focused approach to customer service.Responsibilities of our Welderwill include:

  • Welding to ASME IX standard in TIG process.
  • Fabricate small fabrications from technical drawings.
  • Operate auto welder.
  • To work to weld procedures.
  • Working to customer specifications.
  • Flexibility to carry out operations in other roles.
  • Working to the required quality standards of both Paralloy and our customers.
  • Working safely throughout all activities in line with Paralloys safety standards and procedures.
  • General 5S housekeeping / Operator PPM.
What were looking for in our Welder:
  • Apprentice trained.
  • Knowledge of welding equipment and tools.
  • The ability to operate an auto welder.
  • The ability to understand welding procedures.
  • The ability to read technical drawings.
  • An excellent understanding of quality rules.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A good understanding of health & safety and environmental issues.
  • Pendant Crane, Lifting & Slinging experience would be desirable.
