We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Stores Controller to join the team based at our site in Billingham. This is a full-time permanent role and in return, you will receive a competitive salaryplus benefits including25 days holiday + Bank Holidays and pension scheme – 5% employer contribution.Paralloy is situated in Billingham. The business has a worldwide presence and is a major supplier to the petrochemical market. The success of the company has been built on developing quality products in rapid lead times supported by a focused approach to customer service.We are looking for a Stores Controller to organise the receipt, storage and issuing of all goods and materials for the Billingham site.Key responsibilities of our Stores Controller:- Conducting the receipt and issue of goods and materials on a FIFO basis- Ordering and controlling goods for all departments, both consignment and non-stock items- Checking of certification against batch numbers- Inspecting contract bought out foods and materials- Loading and unloading delivery vehicles in a safe and secure manner- Undertaking customer relations and liaising with all site personnel, sales representatives and suppliers- Controlling all site gases – argon, oxygen, propane, acetylene, along with the ordering of fuels- Controlling requisitions raised for all departments, using the purchase system Sage (FUSION) for conversion to purchase order- Conducting first stage dimensional checks by reading engineering drawings- Reporting on and analysing stock usage- Arranging security personnel for out-of-hours issuing of stock items to production departmentsWhat we’re looking for in our Stores Controller:- Experience of working in a store’s environment- Procurement experience, having been gained in the metals manufacturing sector would be an advantage but is not essential- Forklift Truck licence- Competency working with Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)- Experience of working to a quality assurance standard (ISO 9001)- Knowledge of COSHH safety data information- The ability to organise own workload- Knowledge of Sage (FUSION) would be advantageous- The ability to read technical drawings would be advantageousIf you feel you have the skills and experience to become one of our Stores Controller, then please click ‘Apply’ today!
