Job Description

Paralloy Ltd. has two exciting Foundry Operative opportunities available to join the team based in Billingham, where you will manufacture centrifugally cast tubes. You will join us on a full time, temporary basis working 38 hours per week on a shift basis. In return, as our Foundry Operative you will receive a competitive salaryplus benefits including25 days holiday + Bank Holidays and pension scheme – 5% employer contribution.Paralloy is situated in Billingham. The business has a worldwide presence and is a major supplier to the petrochemical market. The success of the company has been built on developing quality products in rapid lead times supported by a focused approach to customer service.Key responsibilities of our Foundry Operative:- Prepare refractory materials for use in manufacturing- Lift & sling moulds, tubes, and containers with use of cranes- Pour molten metal into spinning dies- Brush out and spray up production mould- Monitor temperatures of moulds / molten steel as directed by charge hand- Take test samples as directed by charge hand- Complete manufacture of casting a tube & removing tube from a die using hand tools, manual handling techniques- Grinding of moulds / tubes as directed- Stamping tubes to maintain traceability- Set up moulds, cups and ladles as directed by charge hand to begin tube manufacture- Working safely throughout all activities in line with the Company’s safety standards and procedures- General 5S housekeeping / Operator PPMWhat we’re looking for in our Foundry Operative:- Previous manufacturing & factory experience- Foundry experience, including lifting, slinging and pendant crane operation, would be advantageous.- An excellent understanding of quality issues- Good H&S and environmental awareness- Good communication skills, both written and verbalIf you feel you have the skills and experience to become one of our Foundry Operative, then please click ‘Apply’ today!
