Job Description

A contract Xamarin Developer from a strong C# development background is required by a fast growing Data & Analytics company.Job Responsibilities/Objectives

  • Write high quality testable C# code for mobile applications
  • Write unit tests for all functionality working towards a TDD approach to development
  • Contribute towards maintaining best practices in coding adhering to well established styleguides
    • Required Skills/Experience
  • Experience building applications using a recent version of Xamarin using C#
  • Good understanding of cross platform compatibility and limitations, including iOS, Android and UWP
  • Experience with XAML to produce responsive layouts for all platforms and idioms
  • Good understanding of end-to-end flow of distributing applications to relevant app stores
  • Experience of profiling and performance optimisations
  • Experience of writing and consuming REST services in C#
    • Desirable Skills/Experience
  • Knowledge of background services in mobile apps
  • Knowledge of Xamarin Native to write custom renderers and components
  • Knowledge of Xamarin UI testing frameworks
    • This would be a 3 month contract initially, Outside IR35 with a day between £400 - £500 per day dependent on experience. This is a mid/senior role and you should have 5+ years experience coding in C#.
