Job Description

If you are a published writer with experience teaching creative writing to adults, and an interest in current debates in creative writing, we would love to hear from you. You will be part of a supportive team, and receive plenty of opportunities for developing your teaching practice.THE ROLE: We are looking to recruit a Bookbinding: Conservation and Repair Tutor to plan, teach and evaluate on bookbinding courses specializing in conservation, repair and gold tooling. You would be part of a team of staff delivering teaching and learning across a range of levels from beginner to advanced learners. City Lit conservation and repair courses are part of a larger provision of bookbinding and book arts courses which aim to provide access to general skills alongside more specialist workshops in a range relevant subject areas.HOURS:Variable according to programme planning and requirements.SELECTION CRITERIA:

  • Have a qualification relevant to the subject being taught.
  • Have experience of teaching adults in an area relevant to the programme area.
  • Have a relevant teaching qualification.
  • Have demonstrable knowledge of the subject to be taught.
