The magic of Antony was captured by director Tim Burton, as a film location for his blockbuster, Alice in Wonderland.For more information about Antony please visit: antony What youll be doing This is an exciting opportunity to work across the Cotehele and Antony portfolio, dividing your time between two amazing properties in East Cornwall.With more than 250 volunteers across the two properties, our volunteer teams help us look after and share our places. As the Volunteering and Community officer, youll be working across teams (house, countryside, gardens) and places to provide administrativesupport, ensuring the portfolio is a fantastic place to volunteer or be involved with.Youll bring a sound working knowledge and enthusiasm for good volunteering principles and practice to the role, plus an understanding of good practice in community engagement. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to adapt your style and tone to meetthe changing needs of different teams and people.Youll be involved in every stage of the volunteer journey, from recruitment and induction, through to reward and recognition, maintaining clear communication with volunteer managers along the way. Youll also become an expert user of our volunteering ITsystems, ensuring our staff feel confident and capable to use our processes.This position requires some weekend working by arrangement.   • Demonstrate a sound understanding of volunteering and be enthusiastic about promoting the benefits of great volunteer involvement and opportunities
  • Be passionate and enthusiastic about working with volunteers and understand the differences between staff and volunteers, particularly the legal frameworks
  • Have excellent customer services and communication skills
  • Have a flexible approach and be a great team player, be able to lead on and work with other peoples agendas towards a common purpose
  • Be well organised and attentive to detail
  • A sound working knowledge of volunteering principles and practice
  • IT skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Knowledge and experience of budget management
