Job Description

Role: Waterjet Cutter Operator Location: CongletonSalary: £25-35k depending on experience Job Purpose: To produce component products from Thermoplastic sheets for assembly into customer orders.Key Duties:

  • Check the Trello system to identify cutting requirements to meet customer orders.
  • Identify the relevant drawing on the company server and operate the Water Jet Cutter to produce the various components from the sheets in order to meet customer orders
  • Wash/Dry, cut the sheets and store on trollies for QC to inspect
  • Update the Odoo and Trello systems to ensure accurate production and stock data is available
Please note the above is not a complete list of duties, other tasks will be required from time to time as dictated by the needs of the business.Key Responsibilities:
  • Keep the work area clean and tidy using " clean as you go " principles to reduce waste, hazards, and time taken to cut, wash and dry the sheets
  • Follow all Health and Safety rules and procedures, particularly the correct use of PPE
  • Instruct and guide colleagues who assist in the WJC process
  • Keep machinery in good working order and raise any quality issues identified/undertake any repairs or renewals in line with training received
