If you love working with people, youre a good listener and you think you could help our customers feelwelcome, then this could be a great opportunity for you to join our team.Job PurposeAchieve substantial profitable sales growth within the local Kitchen and Bathrooms market by building strong relationships with customers, in order to develop sales and maximise branch profitabilityKey Results Areas

  • Foster and promote a behavioural safety first culture in which employees are risk aware and striving to achieve Target Zero, ultimately creating a safe environment for colleagues, customers and suppliers
  • Work with the Showroom Manager to identify new business opportunities, and put plans together to follow these up
  • Ensure a high standard of customer service is consistently maintained at all times, i.e. maintain a clean, tidy and safe working / customer environment
  • Provide the customer with advice on sales enquiries and design requirements, ensuring legislation and compliance is adhered to at all times, and conduct site planning and surveys when necessary
  • Work with the Jewson Customer Score (JCS), and other customer service practices across SGBD to ensure customers receive a best in class customer experience
  • Ensure all customer quotes, sales and orders are processed efficiently
  • Ensure added value sales are developed through selling the project
  • Inform customers in advance of a delivery and follow up on after sales to allow time to rectify any problems and gain customer service feedback, i.e. attend deliveries at times to ensure customer expectations are met
  • Ensure Joinery & Kitchen returns are dealt with quickly and efficiently at all times
  • Housekeeping - ensure routine maintenance checklist is completed daily (e.g. point of sale updated, display lights in working order etc, product boxes are discarded etc)
  • Work closely with colleagues to maximise branch profitability and efficiency, and with the market management, procurement, sales teams etc. as and when necessary
  • Keep up to date with product knowledge / product specifications at all times, to constantly deliver excellent customer service
  • Keep up to date with competitor activity at all times, including areas such as product range, price comparisons and service
RequirementsKnowledge, Skills & Experience Required
  • Previous operational experience gained in a Kitchen, Bathrooms, Joinery or Tiling role is preferred
  • CAD ( or similar) Design skills are essential along with the ability to interpret a customers brief and deliver as required
  • Must have a strong customer and sales focused attitude
  • Ability to make things happen without direct authority is essential, as is the ability to solve problems
  • Will have excellent communication and relationship building skills
  • Must have excellent organisation and time management skills
  • Will be competitive and results driven, with the ability to identify an opportunity and act upon it
  • The ability to work on own initiative, as well as being a team player, is essential
  • Excellent numerical skills with the ability to interpret data
