Job Description

Role: Assembly and Packing OperatorLocation: CongletonSalary: NegotiableJob Purpose: To assemble and pack customer orders for despatch in an accurate and timely manner to meet customer requirements.Key Duties:

  • Following QC " positive release " of components, assemble relevant customer orders as directed by the Assembly and Packing Team Supervisor.
  • Store any material not required for specific customer orders on the shelving so that it is kept in good condition and can be retrieved quickly and accurately.
  • Confirm and update progress on Odoo and Trello to ensure accurate production and stock data is available.
  • Assist other operatives as required by the Assembly and Packing Team Supervisor.
  • To lead the department in the absence of the Supervisor.
  • To assist in overseeing the flow of work through the area.
  • To assist in selecting and providing order requirements the Accounts and Admin Assistant in the purchase materials by inspecting and keeping relevant stock levels of all materials required within the department.
  • To manage the offloading and storage of any incoming goods into the department.
  • To use the forklift to load outgoing goods onto delivery vehicles as directed by the Assembly and Packing Supervisor.
  • To book parcels and pallets as necessary.
  • To be the Job Aide for the Production Assistant and organise tasks throughout the working day.
Please note the above is not a complete list of duties, other tasks will be required from time to time as dictated by the needs of the business.Key Responsibilities:
  • Using "clean as you go " principles, keep relevant work areas clean and tidy
  • Follow all Health and Safety rules and procedures particularly the correct use of PPE
  • Maintain efficiency and quality throughout the department
