Job Description

Our client is a major and successful organisation and is one of the top performing companies in their sector within the UK, serving substantial number of customers across the region. It is part of a large Group, which comprises a number of other companies, including engineering and construction, property development, waste management and renewable energy services.They now have a great opportunity for a Grounds Maintenance Coordinator to join the Grounds Maintenance Team.The purpose of this role is to assist with the administration and co-ordination of grounds maintenance operations across the region ensuring that these are carried out on time, to the required standard and within budget. The Grounds Maintenance Coordinator will be responsible for assisting the day to day management of grounds maintenance contractor(s).The grounds maintenance operation ensures that the soft landscaping across almost 2,000 sites is maintained to the company’s standards.Key Responsibilities:

  • Day to day administration and management of grounds maintenance contractor(s)
  • Monitoring progress of scheduled work.
  • Auditing quality of grounds maintenance works on site.
  • Auditing health and safety of grounds maintenance operations on site.
  • Liaising with operational staff and stakeholders outside of the business to resolve grounds maintenance issues.
  • Key Experience:
  • Ideally experience of coordinating maintenance works
  • Awareness of grounds maintenance / arboriculture work
  • Strong administration experience
  • Environmental awareness
  • Health and safety awareness
  • Strong IT skills including Excel, Word, Access, Outlook
  • Ability to handle large amounts of data and produce accurate reports
  • Good communication skills
  • High level of self-motivation and able to work on own initiative
  • Excellent organisational skills and a flexible approach
  • Clean driving licence
  • Desirable Qualifications and Skills:
  • Educated to at least GCSE level or equivalent
  • Remuneration & Benefits:
  • £10 - £11 per hour, 40-hour week, Monday to Friday
