We are looking to recruit a motivated and dynamic Senior Clinical Nurse Educator who can bring enthusiasm and knowledge to the Senior Leadership Team within our busy Critical Care Complex at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH).This is an excellent opportunity for an energetic and organised Nurse to take responsibility for developing and overseeing the Critical Care educational programme. The successful candidate will responsible for all new Critical Care nursing recruits and, the ongoing educational and training needs for the nursing workforce.The Critical Care Complex provides care to patients requiring level 2 and level 3 support from a variety of specialties; post-operative care for major surgeries, organ support for both Medical and Surgical patients and emergencies via the Emergency Department.Our team of over 130 Nurses and 13 Critical Care Consultants are supported by a range of other healthcare professionals to deliver care to our patients. We work as a highly skilled, multi-disciplinary team providing care across a range of specialties.The successful candidate should have extensive recent experience within a comparable Critical Care setting.The Critical Care Complex is an extremely busy unit and during the first COVID-19 surge the Education Team delivered training to 1644 non-Critical Care staff. As a result of this, the team won an NNUH “Hero Award”.The successful candidate will work as a competent member of the Critical Care team, supporting the different aspects of the larger multi-disciplinary team.They will support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service.
