Job Description

Network Engineer Job Type: TemporarySector: HealthcareWorking location: HospitalDuration: Expected to last up to March 2023Location: NorwichRemote Working: Mixture of Office and Hybrid Working actual breakdown to be discussing with the clientBand: 5Pay Rates:£14.00 - £17.50 paye inclusive of holiday pay per hourDepending on skill and experienceWorking Days and Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm 37.5 hoursJob Summary As a network engineer you will support the network projects team in provision and delivery of robust network and communication services, by means of project activities and any ad-hoc requests. This role will have a strong focus on Network projects whichis upgrades to existing network equipments and ensuring that the project is completed on schedule within project specifications.To support the delivery of a high quality, safe and compassionate healthcare service, all staff are expected to act as a role model to others in all aspects of their work.Duties

  • IT networking experience, CCNA, CCNP or equivalent would be desirable.
  • IT network configuration, Cisco switches, Wi-Fi access points and controllers, firewalls.
  • Good knowledge of IT network cabling, Cat5e, Cat6, Optical Fibre.
  • Good understanding of the concept of building physical IT networks.
  • Good IT skills and experience of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
  • Well organised and willingness to work flexibly in response to changing organisational requirements.
  • You will be a key technical resource within the project.
  • You will work as part of Network Refresh Project Team and be expected to work alongside other project engineers within Digital Health.
  • Occasional travel to other project sites.
  • Participate in technical project meetings, quality assurance.
  • You will be required to work out of hours in order to meet project deadlines and the needs of the Trust.
