The Directorate of Laboratory Medicine at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital provides a large range of Blood Sciences services comprising Clinical Biochemistry, Hematology and Transfusion, Immunology and Toxicology. The department provides a range of analysis of blood, body fluids and tissues for the Hospital inpatient and out-patient population, local GP’s and other neighbouring Trusts.We have exciting opportunities for HCPC registered Biomedical Scientists who have experience of working as independent practitioners with skills in Clinical Biochemistry and who are able to perform a range of analyses in Automation and Specimen reception Services.We will also welcome applications from graduates who have completed an IBMS accredited biomedical sciences degree and started their registration portfolio (Please refer to attached job descriptions).The post will be based at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. The Laboratory provides a wide range of tests for both in-patient and out-patient, all of Norfolk’s GP’s and other neighbouring Trusts. To aid with our very high workload in the Automated Clinical Biochemistry, the department just recently updated the analysers with Abbott Alinity with 3600 Accelerator 3600 as the track system.The post will be based at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital and there is an expectation that the post holder will participate in the delivery of a 24/7 laboratory service.As post holder, following training you will:
