Job Description

*Substantive/Fixed Term/Secondment contracts available*The Emergency Department at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH) is seeking to recruit highly motivated and passionate individuals to join our team as a Sister / Charge Nurse & Resus Lead. The NNUH hosts the busiest Emergency Department in the East of England seeing over 120,000 patients every year.This role is key in continuing our #JourneytoOutstanding and ensuring that patients are at the heart of everything we do. We’re looking for an individual with excellent communication skills and relevant experience who is capable of providing the highest possible standard of patient care and leading others to do the same.You will work across the multidisciplinary team, playing a vital part in our program of continual development to create and maintain a culture focused on quality and patient safety.The successful candidate will:

  • Maintain a high standard of research based nursing practice delivering patient care under the direction of the ED Matron.
  • Participate in the teaching programme of the department
  • Act as leader and role model in the clinical area with a particular focus on Resus, taking charge of the department as required
  • Work in accordance with the standards set by the Nursing / Midwifery Professional Bodies and Trust Nursing Policies and Guidelines
  • Lead a Nursing Team in the process of appraisals and sickness management
