Manpower are recruiting Ward based caterers to work for our public sector client. If you enjoy working with food and people this job is just the opportunity for you.The roleYou will be responsible for a quality service of food and beverages to patients at ward level, following set procedures and specifications.To be responsible for kitchen cleaning and the standards of hygiene within the kitchens at ward level and ensuring that the service complies with Food Safety Legislation.You will ensure that high quality Food Hygiene and cleaning standards are maintained at all times.You will be required to work within a team and will need good communication skills to maintain working relationships within the team and present a positive and professional image to patients and visitors.Main duties

• Providing menu choices and taking patient orders
• Food preparation, regeneration of meals
• Offering tea and coffee to patients and visitors, checking water jugs
• Completion of related paperwork (allergens, wastage, recording of temperatures)
• Ensuring a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness is maintained at all times

Essential criteria

• Previous food service experience within a catering environment.
• Good communication in English, both written and oral
• Food Hygiene Certificate - Level 2 would be desirable, however, we can provide an online course for you to complete.
• Able to commit to working shifts

ContractTemporary - opportunity of permanent contract after 12 weeksDuration12 weeksHoursYou will be required to work 4.00 pm - 7.00 pm, any 5 days out of 7.Hourly rate£9.50 - £9.65 Weekdays£13.40 - £13.61 Saturdays and after 8 pm£17.39 - 17.66 Sundays and Bank HolidaysPlease note that the pay rates are due to increase shortly.The role is subject to satisfactory references and DBS check.What we give you
